FAQ’s

Do you accept insurance plans? I do not accept Medicare or participate in any insurance plans. However, I can help individuals obtain out-of-network reimbursements from their insurer.

How long is the typical appointment? Initial appointments are 90 minutes to allow for a comprehensive evaluation. This appointment can occur on one day, or it can be separated into two 45-minute sessions. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes for medication management or 45 minutes for psychotherapy (which can also include medication management). Geriatric psychiatry consultations are typically 90 minutes in length.

If I am on the fence about starting medications, does it make sense to come in for a consultation? The decision to start medications can be a complex and deeply personal choice. My role is to help provide clarity and counsel you on the available treatment options. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to make the decision that feels right for you. If medications do not feel right for you, I also provide psychotherapy-only treatment.

What are your fees? Feel free to contact me for my fee structure. Fees for consultations/evaluations are due on the day of service. I accept payment via check, cash, credit card, or Zelle.

How do I know if this treatment is the right fit for me? Reaching out can be the hardest part. After you reach out, we will schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this consultation, I will tell you about my practice and get a better sense of what type of treatment you are looking for.
